Job summary

Serco’s Amberley Health Centre near Brisbane invites a General Practitioner to deliver high-quality primary care to Defence members in a busy, multi-disciplinary setting.

You will conduct fitness-for-duty assessments, provide pre/post-deployment care and offer medical guidance to Defence health leadership, with opportunities for Occupational Medicine services and flexible hours.

Qualifications

• Unrestricted AHPRA registration as a GP
• FRACGP, FACRRM or Vocational Registration
• Minimum two years’ GP experience in the last five years
• Current CPR certification (HLTAID009)
• Australian Citizenship required (Baseline Security Clearance)
• Commitment to CPD and ethical, patient-centred care

About Amberley Health Centre

RAAF Base Amberley, the largest Air Force Base in Australia and approximately 50 minutes from Brisbane city. It provides operational and maintenance support for the precision strike element of the Air Combat Group, F/A-18F Super Hornet aircraft. Supports the strategic lift capability for the Australian military’s KC-30A Multi-Role Tanker Transport (MRTT), C-17 Globemaster III heavy lift aircraft and C-27J Spartan battlefield airlifters. The health centre provides primary medical, aviation medical, dental, nursing, physiotherapy, mental health and pharmaceutical services to over 6500 RAAF members. The standard operating hours of the centre are generally 0700-1630 Monday – Thursday (depending on role requirements), and a half day (5.5 hours) Friday.
