Australia Retirement Trust is seeking a General Manager – Construction Operations to drive day-to-day operations of the construction and operations departments across the company’s high-quality custom homes in South East Queensland.

You’ll oversee supervisors, schedulers, and admin teams, ensuring 16-week build cycles are met with exceptional quality and clear communication. This leadership role offers autonomy and the opportunity to scale a growing business.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years’ experience in residential construction, with at least 5 years leading operations or construction delivery for 100–200 homes annually.
• Strong understanding of build programs, scheduling, and site workflow.
• Leadership experience with proven success in building and managing high-performing teams.
• Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
• Proficiency with Onsite Companion or similar project management systems.
• A solutions-focused, no-excuses attitude and commitment to continuous improvement.

About the Role

As General Manager – Construction Operations, you’ll take full control of the day-to-day running of the construction and operations departments. You’ll oversee supervisors, scheduling, estimating, and admin teams to ensure all homes are delivered within the company’s 16-week build program without compromising on quality or communication. This is a hands-on leadership position.
