Sharp and Carter in Sydney is seeking a General Insurance Claims Consultant to manage a portfolio of property, motor and related claims from lodgement to settlement and recoveries. You will handle a mix of straightforward and complex losses while building your delegated authority as experience grows.

The role offers a collaborative, supportive environment with clear opportunities to progress, structured onboarding, and an office-based team with one day from home per week after probation.

Formación

• Background in General Insurance claims; home, motor, commercial or liability backgrounds welcome.
• Strong analytical judgement and written/verbal communication.
• Able to prioritise a busy caseload and make decisions confidently.

Responsabilidades

• Manage claims from lodgement through to settlement and recoveries.
• Investigate claims, interpret policy wording and determine coverage.
• Negotiate fair outcomes and communicate decisions clearly to customers and brokers.
• Escalate larger matters appropriately while developing authority.
• Collaborate with Underwriting and colleagues across the business.
• Maintain clear and timely communication throughout each claim.
