Job summary

Upstate Studios in Geelong is seeking a motivated Studio Assistant to help keep our facilities running smoothly and to deliver the Upstate brand experience from arrival to departure.

You will keep equipment clean and stocked, support inventory, and maintain tidy common areas, with weekend availability and a proactive approach highly valued by leadership. A positive, reliable team player will thrive here.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all hire equipment is clean and in stock.
• Maintain stock levels and assist inventory management.
• Conduct maintenance checks on studio equipment.
• Tidy common areas and class props across rooms.
• Accept and process deliveries and handle tasks promptly.
• Show initiative to complete non-daily tasks to improve member experience.
• Assist the Studio Manager with additional tasks as needed.
• Shifts are 3 hours, between 9am–4pm; weekend availability is required.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This role will play a pivotal part in the smooth operation of the facility and sets the standard for delivering an exceptional Upstate brand experience from the moment a member arrives until the moment they leave.

It is all the small details that make for a great customer experience - Overall, your dedication to maintaining a clean and organised environment, coupled with your proactive approach to tasks, will ensure the smooth functioning of the studio, contributing to an exceptional experience for both staff and members.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Ensure all hire equipment is clean & in-stock


• Maintain stock levels of necessary equipment and support the Studio Manager with inventory management


• Conduct maintenance checks of studio equipment (microphones, boxing bags, reformer beds)


• Tidy common areas as necessary


• Tidy class props across reformer, boxing and hot mat rooms


• Accept and process deliveries


• Use initiative to complete tasks outside assigned daily tasks to provide the best experience for members and staff


• Assist the Studio Manager as required with additional tasks that support the business


• Shifts are 3 hours in length and can be completed between the hours of 9am - 4pm


• MUST have weekend availability

• Flexible conditions - We don’t conform to the 9-5 (does anyone anymore?!), our business runs from a 5.30am pilates class, to 8pm Yin Yoga, so our people need to be flexible and adaptable. In return we give that flexibility back. If it’s working remote, or working part time, we are open to all conversations. The world of work has always been flexible for instructors, so it’s the same approach as we develop our core support team.
