Job summary

Your Health and Fitness in Bunyip is seeking a friendly Sales Admin/Reception team member to be the face of the gym. This part-time, onsite role is 16 hours per week, Monday to Thursday, 4pm to 8pm, focusing on member and prospect contact, memberships, bookings and payments.

Bonus if you are a qualified Group Fitness Instructor, Reformer Pilates Instructor or Personal Trainer; instructors can run classes on top of admin hours, with paid classes.

Sales Admin Role with Group Fitness/PT Available

Love people, enjoy a chat and want to be part of a close-knit regional community? Our Bunyip club is looking for a warm, friendly Sales Admin / Reception team member to be the face of the gym that everyone knows and loves.

This is a part-time, onsite role at our Bunyip club, 16 hours per week, Monday to Thursday, 4pm to 8pm.

You don't need to be a fitness instructor to apply. If you have a background in sales, reception, administration or customer service, this role is for you. You'll be the first point of contact for our members and prospects, so a warm, welcoming and professional approach is essential.

Are you also a qualified Group Fitness Instructor, Reformer Pilates Instructor or Personal Trainer? That's a bonus! Group Fitness Instructors can take on some group fitness classes, which we pre-program so you can focus on giving members a great experience. Reformer Pilates Instructors can design and deliver their own well-structured, flowing classes at our Bunyip and Koo Wee Rup studios. Personal Trainers may also have the chance to use the space to grow their own PT business. All classes are paid on top of your admin hours.

Key responsibilities

• Membership Sales: Respond to enquiries, speak with prospective members, explain membership options and help convert enquiries into new memberships.
• Lead Follow-Up: Follow up with prospects, nurture leads and assist them throughout their sales journey.
• Member Nurturing: Build strong relationships with members and ensure they feel supported and valued.
• Front of House: Welcome members, prospects and visitors and provide exceptional customer service.
• Casual Member Service: Assist casual members with bookings, payments, enquiries and general needs.
• Tours & Inductions: Conduct facility tours and member inductions.
• Administration: Complete general administrative tasks, maintain accurate member information and update systems as required.
• Payments: Process memberships, casual visits and other payments accurately.
• Reporting: Assist with daily and weekly reporting and sales administration.
• Cleaning & Facility Care: Cleaning is a regular, hands-on part of this role every shift. That includes wiping down equipment, keeping change rooms and studios fresh, restocking, and making sure the whole facility looks spotless for our members.

Bonus responsibilities (for qualified instructors/trainers)

• Group Fitness: Deliver structured, pre-programmed group fitness classes that help members on their fitness journeys.
• Reformer Pilates: Design and deliver well-structured, flowing Reformer Pilates sequences at our Bunyip and Koo Wee Rup studios. These classes aren't pre-programmed, so you'll bring your own creativity and expertise to every session.
• Personal Training: Opportunity to build and grow your own PT client base from our club.

• Confident using computers and willing to learn new software and systems
• Able to work independently, as you'll often be the main team member onsite
• Available Monday to Thursday, 4pm to 8pm
• Previous experience in sales, reception, administration, customer service or the fitness industry is desirable but not essential

Bonus (not essential):

• Certificate III and/or IV in Fitness, or a Group Fitness qualification
• Current First Aid and CPR
• Current registration with a fitness industry body (e.g. AUSactive or Fitness Australia)
