Job summary

Securitas Australia AB is seeking a Security Officer in Moorabbin, VIC, Australia. The role involves ensuring safety, managing access control, and delivering superior customer service in line with our core values.

The position requires data entry proficiency (approximately 90% of duties), a VIC Security License, First Aid/CPR, and a valid driver's license. Shifts rotate day and night, offering full-time employment.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication, punctuality, reliability.

• Data entry proficiency and computer skills (MS Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Gatehouse experience desirable but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide a security service in line with the site SOPs and client's requirements to protect employees, property and assets.
• Deliver the highest levels of customer service in line with Securitas' values of Integrity, Vigilance and Helpfulness.
• Conduct site patrols, manage access control and respond to incidents.
• Greet visitors and staff, issue keys/cards to authorized contractors and monitor activities for safety and compliance.
• Protect people and property across the site.
• Prepare reports and utilize MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and related software.
• Monitor CCTV, Emergency Management and Fire Systems.
• Note: ~90% of duties involve data entry (high accuracy required).

About the role

Our client is a world leading bottler and distributor of non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages in Australia. Having National presence across 5 major States with multiple facilities including manufacturing and logistics; we are looking for highly skilled Security Officers with experience in gatehouse logistics / data entry to manage access into their facilities while observing and reporting on all Security, Transport and Property related matters.

Security team at these locations plays an important role in the logistical management, safety and security of the site. As the first point of contact visitors and staff have when entering the facility, security officers on this location need to leave a lasting impression of exceptional customer service.

This position is available in Moorabbin for this particular client.

Job Type: Full Time- Rotational Day and Night Shifts -SSIA Level 3

Location: Moorabbin, VIC

Key Tasks

• Provide a security service in line with the site SOP’s and client's requirements in order to protect the client’s employees, property and other assets.
• Deliver the highest levels of customer service which consistently demonstrate Securitas’ core values of Integrity, Vigilance and Helpfulness.
• Site patrols, Access Control and responding to incidents around the site
• Greeting visitors and employees, issuing keys/cards to authorized contractors and monitoring their activities for safety and compliance.
• Protection of people and property
• Report writing, Microsoft Application, advance use of Excel, word and Outlook.
• Monitor and use CCTV application, Emergency Management and Fire Systems.
• About 90% of the role is data entry (computer proficiency is essential)

Minimum Requirement

• Must have a valid VIC Security License
• Current First Aid & CPR
• Valid Driver's License & Car
• Excellent communication skills, punctual and reliable
• Be able to work independently, self -aware, motivated, and able to work as part of the team
• Be proactive, whilst maintaining discretion and confidentiality
• Previous gatehouse experience is highly desirable but not compulsory
