Job summary

Securitas is seeking a Gatehouse Security Officer in Melbourne to manage access into facilities, greet visitors, and monitor safety and security systems with a strong focus on data entry.

The role requires SSIA Level 3, a VIC security licence, and the ability to handle high standards of customer service across day and night shifts in Moorabbin.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid VIC Security License.
• Current First Aid & CPR.
• Valid Driver's Licence & Car.
• Excellent communication skills, punctual and reliable.
• Able to work independently, self-aware, motivated, and a team player.
• Gatehouse experience desirable but not compulsory.

Responsibilities

• Provide security service per site SOPs and client requirements to protect employees and assets.
• Deliver high levels of customer service aligned with Integrity, Vigilance and Helpfulness.
• Site patrols, access control, and incident response.
• Greet visitors and employees, issue keys/cards to authorized contractors, monitor activities for safety and compliance.
• Duties include report writing and proficient use of MS Office.
• Monitor CCTV, Emergency Management and Fire Systems.
• Approximately 90% of duties involve data entry.

About the role

Our clientis a world leading bottler and distributor of non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages in Australia. Having National presence across 5 major States with multiple facilities includingmanufacturing and logistics; we are looking for highly skilled Security Officers with experience in gatehouse logistics / data entry to manage access into their facilities while observing and reporting on all Security, Transport and Property related matters.

Security team at these locations plays an important role in the logistical management, safety and security of the site.As the first point of contact visitors and staffhave when entering the facility, security officers on this location need to leave a lasting impression of exceptional customer service.

Job Type: Full Time- Rotational Day and Night Shifts -SSIA Level 3

Key Tasks

• Provide a security service in line with the site SOP’s and client's requirements in order to protect the client’s employees, property and other assets.
• Deliver the highest levels of customer service which consistently demonstrate Securitas’ core values ofIntegrity, Vigilance and Helpfulness.
• Site patrols, Access Control and responding to incidents around the site
• Greeting visitors and employees, issuing keys/cards to authorized contractors and monitoring their activities for safety and compliance.
• Protection of people and property
• Report writing, Microsoft Application, advance use of Excel, word and Outlook.
• Monitor and use CCTV application, Emergency Management and Fire Systems.
• About 90% of the role is data entry (computer proficiency is essential)
• Must have a valid VIC Security License
• Current First Aid & CPR
• Valid Driver's License & Car
• Excellent communication skills, punctual and reliable
• Be able to work independently, self -aware, motivated, and able to work as part of the team
• Be proactive, whilst maintaining discretion and confidentiality
• Previous gatehouse experience is highly desirable but not compulsory
