Securitas is seeking an Administration Officer to support the Site Security Manager at a client Data Centre in Victoria. You will manage client services, security systems, audits, and scheduling to ensure continuous protection of assets and people.

The role requires leadership, strong communication, and advanced computer skills, with a focus on delivering reliable security operations and incident response in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Serves as primary point of contact to data centre Management and security personnel when the Security Team Manager is unavailable.
• Trains and certifies all new security personnel and maintains required training documentation.
• Ensures all Responders and Control Room Supervisors adhere to policies and SOPs.
• Acts as Responder or Control Room Supervisor in periods of increased activity or staff absence.
• Maintains and troubleshoots on-site security technology.
• May support other critical infrastructure sites.
• Recommends corrective actions for security staff to the Security Team Manager.
• Assists with scheduling, site equipment inspections, and audit compliance.

About the Role

Administration Officer -Serves as the principal assistant to the Site Security Manger in providing security services and related operations to the client's Data Center. Job functions may include client service and problem resolution, service enhancement, Security Operations Center (SOC) systems maintenance, audit compliance, scheduling, system monitoring, log maintenance, access rights maintenance, and training.

Essential Functions

• Serves as primary point of contact to data centre Management and security personnel when the Security Team Manager is unavailable.
• Trains and certifies all new security personnel and maintains required training documentation. Coordinates with the Training Manager and with the local supporting Securitas Branches as needed.
• Ensures all Responders and Control Room Supervisors adhere to policies and Standard Operating Procedures.
• Acts as Responder or Control Room Supervisor in periods of increased activity or in the case of absent staff.
• Maintains and troubleshoots on-site security technology.
• May support other critical infrastructure sites.
• Recommends corrective actions for security staff to the Security Team Manager.
• Assists with the delivery of counselling and corrective action as directed by the Security Team Manager.
• Assists with scheduling, site equipment inspections, and audit compliance.
• Conducts recurring audits and prepares and submits critical and confidential information directly to client management team.
• Maintains required security documentation, ensuring accuracy in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid VIC Security License.
• Hold an AGSVA NV-1 Clearence.
• Experience in Control Room Operations and Security Systems.
• Experience with Access Control and CCTV
• Impeccable report writing ability.
• Capable of learning a variety of security and safety devices and controls.
• Demonstrated Leadership experience in either a supervisory or security management role.
• Ability to provide positive direction and motivate performance.
• Ability to maintain professional composure when dealing with unusual circumstances.
• Advanced computer skills are mandatory.
• Strong Oral and written communications skills.
• Strong customer service and service delivery orientation.l
• Ability to interact effectively at various social levels and across diverse cultures.
