Job summary

Be part of the Visitor Experience team at the Royal Botanic Garden Sydney, delivering engaging guided experiences and vehicle-based tours that showcase the Gardens’ stories and conservation values. You will provide friendly customer service to diverse visitors and ensure a safe outdoor environment.

This casual role requires a current WWCC, a valid Australian driver licence, and ability to work rosters including weekdays, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Experience in visitor services, tourism, front-of-house or guiding, preferably in a tourism destination or cultural attraction.
• Experience delivering guided, interpretive or educational experiences to groups and making information accessible for different audiences.
• Strong customer service and communication skills, with the confidence to engage visitors and resolve issues professionally.
• Ability to think quickly and adapt to changing visitor needs in an outdoor setting.
• An understanding of risk management and minimal-impact practices for guided experiences.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging guided experiences and vehicle-based tours through the Garden.
• Provide scripted interpretations of stories, collections and conservation values.
• Maintain safety and comfort in a busy outdoor environment while delivering high-quality customer service.
