V/Line is seeking a Ganger Class 1 to lead a track crew across the network in a remote, field-based role. You will oversee maintenance and renewal of rail infrastructure, coordinate repairs, and ensure safety and compliance on multiple locations within the Victoria rail network.

You will manage a hands-on team, prioritize safety, and deliver high-quality rail maintenance with leadership accountability. A current driver’s licence and relevant tickets are essential, with higher rail operator

Qualifications

• Hands-on rail professional with site supervision and leadership.
• Cert III Rail Infrastructure (Gangers Ticket) required.
• Safe Working Certificate Level 3 mandatory.
• High Rail Operator Level 4 desirable.

Responsabilités

• Lead and supervise rail infrastructure renewal and maintenance activities.
• Oversee track component replacement and renewal (sleepers, rails, ballast).
• Coordinate cross-level maintenance of crossings, drainage, earthworks and structures.
• Ensure safety and reliability across assigned track sections.
• Respond to OH&S concerns and maintain a safe working environment.
