Flight Centre Travel Group Canberra is seeking a leadership-minded Leisure or Corporate Travel Consultant to grow into a future leadership role. You will coach a team, manage client relationships, and help drive performance while delivering high-quality service.

With a solid consulting background and GDS familiarity, you’ll support daily operations and contribute to a culture that fosters growth and exceptional customer experiences.

Qualifications

• Our client seeks leaders with a proven sales track record in corporate or retail travel.
• Experience mentoring or coaching teams is highly valued.
• GDS proficiency (Sabre) is preferred.

About The Opportunity

FCM Canberra is growing, and we’re now looking for a future leader who’s ready to grow their own career while helping others thrive.

This role is perfect for someone with solid consulting experience, a passion for client relationships, and the drive to take their first (or next) step into leadership.

Working closely with your Team Leader, you’ll help drive performance, engagement and culture while continuing to deliver outstanding service to your own clients. You’ll support all aspects of the FCM business by turning strategy into action, maintaining strong sales performance, and helping the team operate at its best.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Team Leader in coaching and developing a team of Travel Consultants


• Build and maintain strong relationships with Government and corporate clients


• Assist in overseeing daily operations, ensuring service excellence and SLA delivery


• Handle complex bookings, escalations and technical problem-solving


• Identify opportunities to improve performance and customer experience


• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver seamless service outcomes


• Contribute to a safe, inclusive and accessible work environment where all Flighties feel welcomed, respected and supported to thrive

What You'll Need

• A lead-by-example approach and the ability to motivate others


• Strong communication skills and emotional intelligence


• Confidence managing change and high volumes of business


• Drive, determination and focus to co-lead a successful business


• Minimum 2 years’ proven sales success as a Corporate Travel Manager or Retail Travel Consultant


• GDS proficiency (Sabre highly regarded)
