Job summary

The University of Western Australia is seeking a capable asset and facilities coordinator to manage furniture relocations, keep accurate asset records, and support space reconfigurations across campus. You will drive sustainability initiatives and coordinate with internal teams and service providers.

Experience in asset management, inventory control and logistics is essential, along with strong organisational and customer service skills to operate in a busy university environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience in asset management, inventory control, logistics, facilities operations, warehousing, removals or a related operational environment.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple service requests, competing priorities and operational activities in a busy environment.
  • Demonstrated experience maintaining accurate records using databases, inventory systems, asset management platforms or spreadsheets, with strong attention to detail.
  • Well-developed communication and customer service skills with the ability to build productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • A commitment to workplace safety, sustainability and working effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate furniture relocations, reuse requests, removals and storage activities while supporting office moves, room fit-outs, campus projects and space reconfigurations.
  • Maintain accurate asset registers, inventory records and furniture tracking information to support effective asset lifecycle management, reporting and operational decision-making.
  • Promote sustainability through furniture reuse, refurbishment and waste reduction initiatives while providing responsive customer service and coordinating with internal stakeholders, contractors and service providers.
