Job summary

Premier Funerals on the Sunshine Coast is seeking an experienced funeral professional to join our hands-on supervisory team in Caloundra. The role combines funeral directing, staff supervision, and business development in a dynamic, client-focused environment.

You'll work closely with the Location Manager to coordinate operations, arrange and conduct funerals, mentor staff, and enhance service standards while contributing to the growth of our established funeral business in the Sunshine Coast

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in funeral industry.
• Experience in a supervisory or management role.
• Demonstrated experience arranging and conducting funerals.
• Strong communication and people management skills.
• Good organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities.
• Willingness to participate in after-hours roster.
• Professional, compassionate and respectful approach when dealing with families.
• Permanent, full-time position.

Responsibilities

• Arranging and conducting funerals, providing compassionate and professional support to families
• Supporting, mentoring and supervising staff in their daily duties
• Working with the Location Manager to coordinate daily operations and maintain high service standards
• Managing the operational requirements of Department of Justice contracts, ensuring contractual obligations and service standards are met
• Building relationships within the local community and identifying opportunities to promote and grow Premier Funerals
• Contributing to business development and improvements across operations
• Participating in a rotating after-hours on-call roster
