Compass Group Australia is seeking an experienced Venue Coordinator for our corporate functions and events centre based in Kirribilli, Sydney. This role involves client management, event planning, and close collaboration with operations and kitchen teams to deliver seamless functions.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in event coordination, venue management, or a similar operational role.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with clients, vendors and internal teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive, solution-focused approach.
• Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by event schedules.
• Knowledge of audiovisual equipment, catering, and event technology is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Client management, event planning and operational set up to deliver successful functions
• Conduct regular site inspections, client follow-ups and liaison, creating detailed event orders, floor-plans and invoicing
• Work cooperatively with the operations and kitchen teams in regard to handing over functions to ensure seamless delivery
• Conduct follow-up correspondence with clients and respond to feedback
• Working directly with preferred suppliers where required
• Provide strong leadership and guidance to the team and drive for success

• Monday - Friday! 7am - 3pm! (start and finish times may vary based on event requirements)

The Role!
