Job summary

SkyPoint on the Gold Coast is seeking an experienced Supervisor for our events-focused Food & Beverage operations. You will lead frontline teams with hands-on coaching, ensuring seamless event delivery and outstanding guest experiences from start to finish.

You will drive service standards, support sales targets, and work closely with leadership to optimise rostering, costs and compliance. RSA and RMLV credentials are highly regarded, with opportunities to shape memorable events in Queensland.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years’ leadership experience in high-volume hospitality or events.
• Proven ability to coach and develop frontline teams.
• Confident handling difficult conversations and performance matters.
• Passion for creating outstanding guest experiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead from the floor with hands-on leadership and coaching of frontline teams.
• Oversee event delivery ensuring food, beverage, service and venue presentation align.
• Drive exceptional guest experiences while supporting sales and ops targets.
• Coach team members and manage performance and workplace expectations.

Job description

SkyPoint is home to one of the Gold Coast’s most unique hospitality environments 230 metres above the city, with incredible views, high guest volumes and a fast-paced service culture.

We are looking for an experienced Supervisor with a passion for events who is ready to elevate their career, take ownership and lead exceptional guest experiences from the moment the lift doors open.

As a SkyPoint Supervisor, you will play a key leadership role across our Food & Beverage operation, with a strong focus on Events while supporting other areas of the business as required. From cocktail functions and special celebrations to high-volume service, you will lead with purpose, set the standard and make sure every event runs seamlessly.

You will work closely with our leadership team to drive service standards, develop our people and create a positive, high-performing environment where both our guests and team have a great experience.

Your new day-to-day will look like this:

• Lead from the floor, providing hands‑on leadership, coaching and support to our frontline teams.
• Oversee the delivery of events, ensuring food, beverage, service and venue presentation come together seamlessly.
• Drive exceptional guest experiences while supporting sales and operational targets.
• Coach, develop and provide on‑the‑job guidance to team members, including managing performance and workplace expectations.
• Identify opportunities to improve the way we work and help bring new ideas and initiatives to life.
• Support recruitment, rostering, inventory control and departmental procedures.
• Manage staffing levels, labour budgets and daily operational costs.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, HACCP compliance and venue presentation.

What you will bring:

You are a confident and motivated hospitality leader who enjoys being amongst the action. You know how to bring a team together, communicate expectations clearly and keep things moving when the pressure is on.

You will also bring:

• 2–4 years’ leadership experience within high-volume hospitality, events or customer service.
• Strong experience leading, coaching and developing frontline teams.
• Confidence managing challenging conversations, conflict resolution and performance matters.
• A genuine passion for creating outstanding guest experiences.
• Experience working with wage targets, COGS, sales initiatives and stock control.
• A current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA), with experience across bar, food or guest‑facing operations.
• Confidence using POS systems and managing cash‑handling processes.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
• An RMLV Certificate and Liquor Approved Manager accreditation will be highly regarded.
