Job summary

Catering HQ is seeking a Functions and Events Operations Supervisor to help run functions and events at the Cronulla RSL venue. This role offers an opportunity to join a passionate team delivering high-quality, smooth-running events that exceed client expectations.

You will lead a team, manage rosters, and provide exceptional service with attention to detail, while engaging with customers and supporting business goals set by management.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years' experience in a similar role.
• Strong leadership and rostering experience.

Catering HQ is seeking an Functions and Events Operations Supervisor to help run functions and events at the amazing venue Cronulla RSL. This is a fantastic opportunity to join our talented and passionate team.

Your primary responsibility is the execution of high quality, smooth running events which exceed client expectations.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Communicate with co-workers and management to solve problems and improve quality and service
• Work with the team to execute a variety of functions and events for our customers
• Initiate dialogue and develop rapport with customers by learning their names, favourite drinks and food items
• Understand and anticipate customer needs and aim to exceed these requirements
• Provide exceptional quality, consistent service throughout the event
• Assist in reaching business goals and objectives as set out by management
• Set up and pack down of function spaces
• Lead the team to work efficiently, ensuring perfect execution of the event from set up to pack down

KEY QUALITIES:

• Must have a minimum of 1-2 years' experience a similar role
• Excellent supportive and leadership skill set
• Exposure to rostering and people development
• Have a strong customer service focus
• Professional, upbeat and friendly personality
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Positive and flexible attitude
• Highest level of presentation and grooming standards
• Fantastic people management skills and professional nature
• Confidence to take charge and own the result, yet humble enough to listen and learn
