The role combines security operations with first-class customer service, including access control, visitor management, patrols, and building support, with daytime shifts as priority. You will maintain a safe, welcoming environment for residents and contractors, and complete daily logs and reports.

Qualifications

• Valid NSW Security Licence where required for the position.
• Current First Aid Certificate.
• Experience in residential security, concierge, hotel reception or customer service preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Professional presentation and excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage situations calmly.
• Reliable, punctual and committed to a full-time roster.
• Availability to work predominantly daytime shifts.
• Basic computer literacy and experience completing digital reports.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control building access for residents, visitors, deliveries and contractors.

DSS Facilities is seeking a professional, reliable and customer-focused Residential Security Concierge Officer to join our team on a full-time basis at a premium residential apartment complex in Sydney.

Our current vacancy is primarily for day shifts, with a preference for candidates seeking a stable, ongoing full-time position.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe, secure and welcoming environment for residents, visitors and contractors while delivering an exceptional standard of customer service.

This position combines residential concierge duties, security operations, access control and building management support.

Key Responsibilities

Security & Access Control

• Monitor and control building access for residents, visitors, deliveries and contractors.
• Conduct regular security patrols of common areas, car parks, entrances and building facilities.
• Monitor CCTV and security systems where required.
• Identify and report suspicious behaviour, hazards and security concerns.
• Respond appropriately to alarms, incidents and emergency situations.
• Maintain accurate daily security logs and incident reports.

Residential Concierge & Customer Service

• Provide professional, friendly and helpful assistance to residents and visitors.
• Manage resident enquiries and general concierge requests.
• Assist with parcel and delivery management where required.
• Coordinate visitor and contractor access in accordance with building procedures.
• Maintain a professional presentation at the concierge desk.
• Communicate effectively with residents, building management and strata representatives.

Building Operations & Reporting

• Conduct routine inspections of common areas and report maintenance issues.
• Assist building management with daily operational requirements.
• Maintain accurate shift handovers and daily activity reports.
• Follow site-specific procedures, building rules and emergency evacuation protocols.
• Escalate incidents or operational concerns to the appropriate management team.

Essential Requirements
