Job summary

MaxLab in Barangaroo, Sydney, is hiring a full-time team member to prepare premium focaccia sandwiches, serve customers and keep displays stocked. You will learn our focaccia production process, maintain the kitchen and service areas, and follow food safety procedures in a busy shop environment.

The role requires reliable, detail-oriented individuals with good English and a positive attitude. Prior pizza/baking or sandwich service is advantageous, and Saturday shifts are required.

Qualifications

• Confident spoken English.
• Strong attention to detail.
• A positive attitude and reliable work ethic.
• Ability to work efficiently in a busy team environment.
• A basic understanding of dough handling and a willingness to learn.
• Previous experience in pizza making or baking is preferred.
• Previous sandwich preparation or customer service experience is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Prepare premium focaccia sandwiches to a consistently high standard.
• Deliver friendly and professional customer service.
• Keep the food display attractive and well stocked.
• Keep the kitchen and service areas clean and organised.
• Follow food safety and hygiene procedures.
• Gradually learn our focaccia production process, including mixing, fermentation, stretching and baking.
