Job summary

Mini Masterminds Box Hill in Sydney, NSW, AU is seeking a passionate Diploma Educator for a full-time, four-day roster. This role supports play-based learning and development of children at our 84-place centre.

You will work with a supportive leadership team, uphold regulatory requirements, and take on responsibilities including leading when the Lead Educator is away and managing opening/closing shifts.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (ACECQA-approved).
• WWCC and current First Aid, CPR, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis certificates.
• Strong knowledge of EYLF and NQS.
• Preferably 1+ years’ experience in ECE setting.

Responsibilities

• Support the planning and implementation of engaging educational programs.
• Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment.
• Observe and document children's learning and development.
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
• Collaborate with the team to deliver high-quality education and care.
• Ensure compliance with NQF, NQS, and regulatory requirements.
• Act as the Responsible Person for the service.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the centre.
• Step into a leadership capacity when the Room Leader is absent.
• Manage opening and closing shifts.

About the Role

As a Diploma Educator, you will work collaboratively with your team to deliver engaging, play-based learning experiences that support each child's learning, development, and wellbeing.

You will build meaningful relationships with children and families while contributing to a positive, inclusive, and high-quality learning environment.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (ACECQA-approved)
• Available to work Monday–Thursday, with the flexibility to work 10 hour shifts
• Current Working With Children Check (WWCC)
• Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis certifications
• Current Child Protection training/certificate
• Strong knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS)
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• A genuine passion for early childhood education
• Preferably 1+ years' experience working in an early childhood education and care setting
• Act as the Responsible Person, ensuring the centre operates safely and in accordance with regulatory requirements
• Take responsibility for opening and closing shifts, supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the centre
• Step into a leadership capacity when the Room Leader is absent, providing guidance and support to the team and ensuring the room continues to operate effectively
