Job summary

Bakers Delight Cooleman Court in Weston Creek, ACT is seeking a dedicated Baker to manage daily bakery production, translate recipes into a production schedule and ensure shelf-ready products across breads, pastries and cakes.

You will work in a high-volume retail bakery requiring careful adherence to food safety standards, early starts, weekend shifts and a team-focused approach. A relevant baking or patisserie qualification and at least 2 years’ experience are required.

Qualifications

• A relevant Bakery or Patisserie qualification.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a baker.
• Knowledge of dough science, fermentation, lamination and oven management.
• Ability to read and scale recipes and baking charts.

Responsibilities

• Plan and estimate the daily production schedule for bread, rolls and pastry goods.
• Prepare pastry products and fillings to a high standard.
• Knead, mature, cut, mould and shape dough for breads and pastries.
• Bake breads, rolls, pastries, cakes and cookies.
• Monitor oven temperatures and baking times.
• Ensure food safety procedures and workplace health and safety rules are followed.
• Manage stock, rotations and ordering within budget.
