Whizdom is seeking a hands-on Full Stack Developer (Java) for a 3-month initial contract in Sydney. You will design and develop enterprise-grade software, translate requirements into scalable apps, and contribute across the full development lifecycle from design to deployment and enhancement.

Ideal candidates have strong Java/J2EE experience, RESTful APIs, and familiarity with CI/CD tools within an Agile delivery environment. Competitive daily rate and remote-friendly options may apply.

Qualifications

Strong commercial experience with Java / J2EE.
Experience with RESTful APIs / Web Services.
Experience with CI/CD tooling (Jenkins/Bamboo/Hudson).
Proficiency with Maven/Gradle, Git, SVN, JIRA and Confluence.
Strong debugging and problem-solving skills; Agile delivery background.

Full Stack Developer (Java) | 3-Month Initial Contract | Sydney | $589 per day incl. Super

We're seeking an experienced Full Stack Developer to join a collaborative Agile team delivering enterprise-grade software solutions.

This is a 3-month initial contract based in Sydney, offering $589 per day inclusive of superannuation. You'll play a key role across the full software development lifecycle, from technical design and development through to testing, deployment, and ongoing enhancement of applications.

What You'll Be Doing

Design and develop high-quality software solutions
Create technical designs and translate requirements into scalable applications
Build, test, deploy, and support enterprise software
Collaborate with architects, developers, testers, and business stakeholders
Conduct code reviews and contribute to development best practices
Troubleshoot and resolve application performance and technical issues

Key Skills & Experience

Strong commercial experience with Java / J2EE
RESTful APIs and Web Services (JAX-WS)
CI/CD tools including Jenkins, Bamboo, or Hudson
Maven, Gradle, Git, SVN, JIRA, and Confluence
Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
Experience working in Agile delivery environments

Nice to Have

Computer Science or related degree
Application performance tuning and memory troubleshooting experience
Understanding of enterprise application architecture and infrastructure
