Job summary

Whizdom is seeking a hands-on Full Stack Developer (Java) for a 3-month initial contract in Sydney. You will design and develop enterprise-grade software, translate requirements into scalable apps, and contribute across the full development lifecycle from design to deployment and enhancement.

Ideal candidates have strong Java/J2EE experience, RESTful APIs, and familiarity with CI/CD tools within an Agile delivery environment. Competitive daily rate and remote-friendly options may apply.

Qualifications

Strong commercial experience with Java / J2EE.
Experience with RESTful APIs / Web Services.
Experience with CI/CD tooling (Jenkins/Bamboo/Hudson).
Proficiency with Maven/Gradle, Git, SVN, JIRA and Confluence.
Strong debugging and problem-solving skills; Agile delivery background.

Responsibilities

Design and develop high-quality software solutions.
Create technical designs and translate requirements into scalable applications.
Build, test, deploy, and support enterprise software.
Collaborate with architects, developers, testers, and business stakeholders.
Conduct code reviews and contribute to development best practices.
Troubleshoot and resolve application performance and technical issues.
