Job summary

The Housing Services Officer, Housing Advice and Assistance Team (HAAT) works within a small team focused on delivering ‘front line' housing services across the Loddon Area.

HAAT assists individuals, advocates and support agencies with queries and applications to the Victorian Housing Register (VHR) and delivers high-quality client service to those homeless, seeking housing, or living in public or community housing.

Qualifications

• Assess client's needs and provide advice on housing options from established policy, procedures and standards.
• Respond to family violence risk in accordance with MARAM guidelines.
• Use persuasive skills in dealing with clients and stakeholders on all housing matters.

Responsibilities

• The Housing Services Officer assists community members, renters, advocates and external agencies by telephone, email and other channels.
• Deliver front line HAAT housing services and assist with bonds, walk-up clients and tenancy matters as needed.
• Perform other duties as required within the Loddon Client Support and Housing Services Team.
