Job summary

Department of Families, Fairness & Housing VIC – Bendigo VIC is seeking a Housing Services Officer within the Housing Advice and Assistance Team (HAAT). The role focuses on delivering frontline housing services across the Loddon Area and assisting individuals, advocates and agencies with Victorian Housing Register applications.

The officer will deliver high-quality client service to those who are homeless or housing-in-need, collaborating with community members, landlords, and external agencies

Qualifications

• Assess client needs and provide housing advice per policy and standards.
• Respond to family violence risk per MARAM guidelines.
• Use persuasive communication with clients and stakeholders on housing matters.

Responsibilities

• Assess clients' housing options and needs using established policy and procedures.
• Provide high-quality frontline housing services to those homeless, seeking housing assistance or in public/community housing.
• Assist with bonds, walk-up client support, and broader tenancy matters as required.
