Job summary

balncs is seeking a Data Engineer to translate messy data and operations problems into deployable analytics on a modern data platform. You will work closely with customer teams while upholding production-engineering standards and providing feedback into the platform.

You will own the problem discovery, build and stabilise production capabilities in the customer environment, and coordinate decisions across users, engineering, product, and delivery stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Strong Python and SQL proficiency.
• Data engineering experience.
• Dashboarding experience with Power BI, Tableau or similar.
• Experience working directly with non-technical users.

Responsibilities

• Discover the operational problem and translate it into an executable technical scope.
• Build, integrate and stabilise production capability in the customer environment.
• Coordinate decisions across users, engineering, product and delivery stakeholders.
• Capture repeated field patterns that can improve the platform, tooling or delivery playbook.
