Job summary

Springdale First School, Poole, part of Hamwic Education Trust, seeks a School Receptionist to be the first point of contact for visitors and the wider community. You will deliver high-quality customer service, handle inquiries, and support safeguarding and data protection requirements.

The role includes maintaining pupil registers, assisting with first aid, and providing confidential admin support. Training and development opportunities are available within a collaborative Trust environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in an administrative role.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Experience with safeguarding and GDPR compliance.

Responsibilities

• Provide a welcoming, professional environment for visitors.
• Manage calls, emails and in-person inquiries.
• Maintain visitor sign-in procedures and safeguarding protocols.
• Provide confidential administrative support per Trust procedures and GDPR.
• Maintain daily pupil registers and support attendance reporting.
• Communicate with parents by phone, email or in person.
• Assist with first aid and maintain first aid supplies.
