Hemingway's Brewery Port Douglas is seeking an experienced Casual Restaurant Team Leader to join our hands-on team. You will report to the Venue Manager and Restaurant Managers, opening/closing shifts, and lead service with on-call support available.

You’ll oversee FOH operations, organise staff, maintain service standards, and ensure RSA, food safety, WHS compliance. This role requires strong leadership, cash handling and exceptional guest service in a busy hospitality setting.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a small team during shifts.
• Strong food & beverage background.
• Confident handling cash and POS systems.
• Current Queensland RSA.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Availability for evenings, weekends and public holidays.

Responsabilités

• Independently opening and/or closing the venue once fully trained
• Completing opening and closing procedures and checklists
• Acting as the senior FOH team member on routine shifts
• Helping organise staff and allocate day-to-day service tasks
• Keeping the restaurant and bar running smoothly during service
• Leading by example on the floor and behind the bar
• Providing friendly, efficient and professional guest service
• Handling routine guest enquiries, feedback and service issues
• Cash handling, till reconciliation and POS procedures
• Maintaining RSA, food safety, WHS and general venue standards
