Job summary

Garfish Crows Nest is seeking a hands-on front-of-house leader to oversee service and motivate a team of around six staff. You will work on the floor, ensuring guests receive consistent, high-quality hospitality and that established systems are followed during busy shifts.

You will supervise, train and support junior team members, handle customer enquiries, and collaborate with the Kitchen team and Restaurant Manager to deliver smooth, enjoyable dining experiences.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated front-of-house leadership experience.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to maintain standards.
• Willingness to lead by example on floor.
• RSA NSW certification (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the front-of-house team during service.
• Maintain hospitality and customer-focused service levels.
• Ensure established service systems and procedures are followed.
• Maintain presentation, cleanliness and service standards throughout the restaurant.
• Train and develop junior team members.
• Manage customer enquiries and resolve issues professionally.
• Collaborate with kitchen and Restaurant Manager for smooth service.
• Assist with opening and closing procedures and general operations.
• Communicate effectively with the wider team before, during and after service.
• Contribute to maintaining a positive workplace culture.
