Job summary

Garfish is seeking an experienced cook to join a fast-paced, energetic kitchen led by a dedicated Head Chef. You will be responsible for managing your own sections and delivering consistently high-quality dishes in a friendly team environment.

The role requires a minimum of two years in a professional kitchen, flexible availability across a seven-day operation, and a commitment to excellent food hygiene and presentation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years experience in a professional kitchen.
• Able to work 5 days across a 7 day operation.
• Flexible and willing attitude with clear communication and customer service skills.
• Immaculate grooming and presentation.
• Ability to manage your own sections and deliver high-quality food.
• Pride in food presentation and top-quality output.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Food hygiene knowledge and practices.

Responsibilities

• Maintain sections and deliver consistently high standard of food during service.
• Prepare and present dishes to menu specifications.
• Communicate effectively with Head Chef and team.
• Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards.
• Roster flexibility to cover Mon–Sun shifts.

• Ability to manage your own sections and deliver a consistently high standard of food throughout service
• Take pride in food presentation, always ensuring top quality
• Good communication skills (verbal and written)
• Food Hygiene compliance, knowledge and practices
• Availability for rotating roster across Mon to Sun.
• Job will require approx. 38 hrs per week.
