Job summary

Visy Recycling in Queensland (Carrara depot) is seeking an experienced HR driver to operate heavy rigid rear lift waste collection vehicles, servicing Brisbane and Gold Coast.

You will perform pre-trip checks, maintain schedules, complete in-cab reports, and comply with fatigue and load restraint laws. A full 5-year demerit history is required and you must pass medical and drug/alcohol testing.

Qualifications

• HR licence and Australian driving experience.

• Excellent communication, time management and teamwork.
• Solid knowledge of road, fatigue and load restraint laws.
• Pride in truck presentation and maintenance.

Role Details

Routes: Collecting from our Customer network delivering to Visy sites in Gold Coast and Brisbane areas.

Locations: Based out of our Carrara depot

Hours: 5am start 10-12 hour shifts 5 days per week (optional Saturday and Sunday work)

What you'll do

• Operating Heavy Rigid rear lift waste collection vehicles performing collections of Recyclable materials from our network of Customers, throughout Brisbane and Gold Coast metro area.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip inspections to ensure your vehicle is roadworthy and compliant.
• Ensure timely and efficient collections and delivery of materials, maintaining adherence to schedules.
• Accurately complete in-cab electronic reporting systems and other required documentation.
• Comply with all company/site policies and state and national transport regulations, including Fatigue Management and Chain of Responsibility laws.
• Collection of CDS containers.

What You Will Bring

• A valid HR Licence with minimum of 2 years’ recent Australian driving experience.
• Provide a full 5-year demerit point history report.
• Excellent communication, time management skills and a strong commitment to safety and teamwork.
• A comprehensive understanding of road, fatigue, and load restraint laws.
• Pride in the presentation and maintenance of trucks and equipment.
