Job summary

Visy Recycling is seeking a Waste Collection Driver based in Brisbane, operating heavy rigid vehicles across Brisbane and the Gold Coast from Gibson Island Depot. You will perform pre-trip checks, drive safely, and ensure timely collections in a compliant, customer-focused operation.

You will maintain vehicle presentation, documents, and reporting, with shifts of 5 days per week and optional Saturday work. Visy emphasises safety, teamwork, and a supportive environment within a modern fleet.

Qualifications

• HR Licence with minimum 2 years' Australian driving experience.
• Full 5-year demerit point history report.
• Comprehensive understanding of road, fatigue and load restraint laws.
• Pride in presentation and maintenance of trucks and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate Heavy Rigid waste collection vehicles across Greater Brisbane and Gold Coast.
• Perform thorough pre-trip inspections to ensure roadworthiness.
• Ensure timely and efficient collections and adherence to schedules.
• Accurately complete in-cab electronic reporting and required documentation.
• Comply with company/site policies and transport regulations, including Fatigue Management.

Role Details

Routes:

Collecting from our Customer network delivering to Visy sites in Brisbane and Gold Coast.

Locations:

Based out of Gibson Island Depot.

Hours:

AM 2am-5 start 10-12hour shifts 5 days per week (optional saturday work)

What You'll Do

• Operating Heavy Rigid waste collection vehicles performing collections of Recyclable materials from our network of Customers, throughout Greater Brisbane and Gold Coast.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip inspections to ensure your vehicle is roadworthy and compliant.\
• Ensure timely and efficient collections and delivery of materials, maintaining adherence to schedules.
• Accurately complete in-cab electronic reporting systems and other required documentation.
• Comply with all company/site policies and state and national transport regulations, including Fatigue Management and Chain of Responsibility laws.

What You Will Bring

• A valid HR Licence with minimum of 2 years' recent Australian driving experience.
• Provide a full 5-year demerit point history report.
