Visy is seeking a Heavy Rigid waste collection driver in Melbourne. Based at the Dandenong Depot, you will operate modern, safety-first trucks and complete efficient collections across Greater Melbourne.

You will need an HR licence with at least 2 years of driving experience, a clean demerit history, and a strong commitment to safety and teamwork. Weekend shifts may be available, with a focus on compliance and vehicle presentation.

• Comprehensive understanding of road, fatigue and load restraint laws.

• Operate Heavy Rigid rear lift waste collection vehicles to collect recyclable materials across Greater Melbourne.
• Perform thorough pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicle roadworthiness.
• Ensure timely and efficient collections/deliveries and adherence to schedules.
• Accurately complete in-cab electronic reporting systems and other required documentation.
• Comply with company/site policies and transport regulations including Fatigue Management and Chain of Responsibility.
• Collect CDS containers.

Routes: Collecting from our Customer network delivering to Visy sites in Melbourne and outer Melbourne regional areas.

Locations: Based out of our Dandenong Depot.

Hours: 5am start 10-12hour shifts 5 days per week (optional Saturday and Sunday work)

What you'll do

• Operating Heavy Rigid rear lift waste collection vehicles performing collections of Recyclable materials from our network of Customers, throughout Greater Melbourne area.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip inspections to ensure your vehicle is roadworthy and compliant.
• Ensure timely and efficient collections and delivery of materials, maintaining adherence to schedules.
• Accurately complete in-cab electronic reporting systems and other required documentation.
• Comply with all company/site policies and state and national transport regulations, including Fatigue Management and Chain of Responsibility laws.
• Collection of CDS containers.

What You Will Bring

• A valid HR Licence with minimum of 2 years’ recent Australian driving experience.
