Job summary

carsales is a leading Australian automotive marketplace, seeking a product engineer with a front-end focus to build features in React or Angular using TypeScript, while collaborating with Node.js and .NET services.

You’ll contribute across the full stack, from ticket to production, and grow your back-end capabilities. The role supports hybrid work arrangements and includes generous parental leave as part of a highly engaged team.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial experience building product features in React or Angular with TypeScript
• Hands-on experience building and consuming APIs with Node.js
• Experience with back-end services in C#/.NET or Java, and the appetite to work in our .NET services
• Good testing habits using Jest, Vitest or Playwright

Responsibilities

• Build product features end to end, from React or Angular interfaces in TypeScript to the Node.js services behind them
• Work with .NET APIs and services, and grow back end capabilities
• Take work from a ticket to production, plan before coding
• Write tests as you build and keep code easy to change
• Participate in code reviews, testing, source control and build processes
• Collaborate with product and design to understand user problems
• Share knowledge and give/receive constructive feedback
