Qualifications

• Experience with Medical software (Best Practice/Medical Director).
• At least 1 year experience as a Medical Receptionist in a medical practice is required.
• Demonstrated strong organizational and problem solving skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders both verbally and in writing.
• Commitment to quality patient service.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and other callers in a professional and courteous manner.
• Make appointments for patients.
• Process patient payments via cash, EFTPOS, and direct bill transactions.
• Invoice Medicare, Private Health Funds, TAC, Workcover.
• Knowledge of the MBS schedule and correct billing procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient personal and financial information.
• Support the day to day operations of the medical centre.
• Attend to patient enquiries.
