Job summary

Team Global Express in Hobart seeks a PM Operations Supervisor to oversee daily PUD operations, coordinating drivers, vehicles and labour to ensure safe, on-time freight handling. You’ll lead a team, monitor service levels, and drive continuous improvement while maintaining CoR and WHS compliance, reporting outcomes and resolving service issues with customers and staff.

You’ll bring leadership experience in transport/logistics, strong communication skills, and the ability to balance competing

Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience in transport, freight, logistics or distribution.
• Strong understanding of pick-up and delivery operations and time-critical freight movements.
• Experience leading teams including drivers, forklift operators, freight handlers or warehousing staff.
• Knowledge of Chain of Responsibility, WHS and compliance obligations.
• Ability to coordinate labour, fleet and equipment to meet daily service needs.
• Capable of managing competing priorities and making effective operational decisions.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management across teams.
• Experience monitoring performance, service levels and productivity KPIs.
• Problem-solving skills to implement practical improvements.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily PUD operations to ensure freight is collected, processed and delivered on time.
• Coordinate drivers, vehicles, forklift operators and labour to meet requirements.
• Monitor service performance, DIFOT outcomes and identify improvement opportunities.
• Support route execution, fleet utilisation and labour planning for efficiency.
• Provide frontline leadership, coaching and performance support to the team.
• Handle day-to-day operational challenges and timely decision making.
• Ensure compliance with procedures, CoR obligations and WHS requirements.
• Conduct safety conversations, toolbox talks and briefings with staff.
• Collaborate with customers and internal stakeholders to resolve issues.
• Promote accountability, teamwork, continuous improvement and customer focus.
