Job summary

Phoenix Supply Chain Pty Ltd is seeking a proactive Freight Forwarding Sales Executive / Business Development Manager to grow our Melbourne and Australia-wide customer base. Develop opportunities, build a personal pipeline, and close deals with importers, wholesalers and retailers.

You will collaborate with our China and Australia operations, manage quotes, and nurture long-term relationships. Excellent self-motivation and persistence are essential for success in this new business role.

Qualifications

• Experience in freight forwarding, international logistics or import/export is preferred.
• Ability to identify and develop new business opportunities.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Proactively identify and develop new business opportunities.
• Target Australian importers, wholesalers, distributors, retailers and e-commerce businesses.
• Generate leads through cold calling, email, LinkedIn, networking and referrals.
• Build and manage your own sales pipeline and follow up with prospects.
• Understand customers' freight requirements and provide suitable logistics solutions.
• Prepare quotations and convert prospects into long-term customers.
• Respond to enquiries promptly and maintain regular client contact.
• Collaborate with China and Australia operations teams.
