Job summary

Direct Couriers is seeking a Freight Coordinator to join a renowned Australian transport leader. You will process bookings, coordinate inbound and outbound freight, and ensure consignments move efficiently through our network.

You will collaborate with customers, drivers, dispatch, operations and warehouse teams in a fast-paced environment, delivering high-quality service. Prior freight/logistics experience and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in freight forwarding, warehousing, transport or logistics is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy when processing freights and documentation.
• Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proactive, reliable and cooperative approach to work.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Willingness to learn and take on responsibilities.
• If the candidate commences prior to October, training will take place in Banksmeadow.

Our Freight Coordinator position is an exciting opportunity for someone with experience or an interest in freight, transport, and logistics who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.

Reporting to the Freight Manager, you will be responsible for processing freight bookings, coordinating inbound/outbound freight and ensuring consignments are accurately processed and moved through our network.

You will work closely with customers, drivers, dispatch, operations, and warehouse teams to ensure freight is handled efficiently and customer requirements are met.
