Job summary

Carey MC is seeking a Franna Crane Operator to join our team on the Saltwater Reverse Osmosis project on a FIFO 2/1 roster. You will operate a Franna crane, perform pre-starts, and support lifts on site while following all safety procedures.

You will work with the Site Supervisor or Leading Hand, ensuring safe lifts, clear communication, and adherence to SWMS, JHAs, and project permits. This role requires a solid safety mindset and teamwork within a Civil/Mining environment.

Qualifications

• Must have CN Franna/Crane ticket and White Card.
• HR Driver's License is required.
• High Risk Licence DG/RA is desirable.
• Ability to follow instructions and work with a construction crew.
• Strong commitment to safety and fitness for work.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Franna crane to lift and move equipment and materials around site.
• Plan lifts with the crew and ensure safe execution.
• Perform pre-start checks on the crane and report faults.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and comply with site rules.
• Communicate effectively with the supervisor and team on site.
• Participate in toolbox talks and safety activities and follow SWMS/JHAs.

About the Opportunity

Carey MC is seeking Franna Crane Operator to join our team on the Saltwater Reverse Osmosis (SWRO) Project on a FIFO 2/1 Roster.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on a specialised infrastructure project supporting essential water infrastructure.

NOTE: Suitable applicants for this role MUST have:

• Current Franna/Crane ticket (CN).
• Construction Industry White Card.
• Current HR Driver's License (Essential).

About the Role

Reporting to the Site Supervisor or Leading Hand, your responsibilities will include:

• Operating a Franna crane - lifting and moving equipment, materials and supplies around site.
• Working closely with crew to plan safe lifts.
• Good understanding of lifting and rigging basics.
• Doing pre-start checks on your machine and reporting any faults.
• Keeping your work area safe and tidy.
• Letting your supervisor know about any issues on site.
• Participating in pre-starts, toolbox meetings and other site safety activities.
• Following all SWMS, JHAs, permits, procedures and supervisor instructions.
• Working safely around mobile plant, excavations, services and active construction areas.
• Undertaking other reasonable duties within your skills, training and competency.

About You

• The flexibility to adapt to changing work fronts and project requirements.

Mandatory Requirements:

• Current Franna/Crane ticket (CN).
• Construction Industry White Card.
• Current HR Driver's License (Essential).
• High Risk Licence – DG/ RA (Desirable).
• Ability to work a 2/1 FIFO Roster.
• Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment medical.
• Ability to successfully complete Drug & Alcohol screening and comply with ongoing testing requirements.
