Job summary

Atlas Partners is partnering with an ASX-listed global technology business based in Melbourne. You will own budgeting, forecasting and Board/ELT reporting with genuine autonomy as the finance function scales internationally.

This sole FP&A role offers hybrid work from Melbourne CBD, direct reporting to the CFO, and a clear growth trajectory through AI-enabled process improvements and automation.

Responsibilities

• Own budgeting, forecasting and Board/ELT reporting.
• Lead month-end reporting with a strong P&L focus.
• Partner with the business on financial performance.
• Prepare external and investor reporting materials.
• Support commercial deals, tenders and growth initiatives.
• Champion AI-led process improvement to boost finance efficiency.
• Manage labour reallocation and cost reviews at month end.

About your new role

A sole-charge FP&A seat reporting directly to the CFO of an ASX-listed, global technology business. You'll own month-end business partnering, forecasting and Board/ELT reporting with genuine autonomy - a great next step for someone ready to make FP&A their own as the business scales internationally.

Key responsibilities

• Own budgeting, forecasting and Board/ELT reporting


• Lead month-end reporting with a strong P&L focus


• Partner with the business on financial performance

Skills & experience

• Qualified accountant (CA/CPA) with an accounting or FP&A background


• Comfortable being hands-on with month-end in a small, lean team


• Open to first movers into FP&A with strong commercial acumen — e.g. audit → transaction services, or Big4 → industry


• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint


• An AI-curious mindset - keen to help embed AI and automation into the finance function to lift efficiency
