Job summary

Atlas Partners | Accountancy & Finance Specialists in Melbourne is seeking a sole-charge FP&A professional reporting to the CFO of a ASX-listed global tech business. You will own budgeting, forecasting and board/ELT reporting with autonomy as the business scales internationally.

Role offers hybrid working in Melbourne CBD, direct CFO reporting, and a clear growth trajectory while embedding AI and automation to boost efficiency across the finance function.

Qualifications

• CA/CPA qualified with FP&A or accounting background.
• Hands-on month-end in a lean team.
• Strong commercial acumen and AI/automation interest.

Responsibilities

• Own budgeting, forecasting and Board/ELT reporting.
• Lead month-end reporting with a strong P&L focus.
• Partner with the business on financial performance.
• Prepare external and investor reporting materials.
• Support commercial deals, tenders and growth initiatives.
• Champion AI-led process improvement to boost finance efficiency.
• Manage labour reallocation and cost reviews at month end.

About your new role

A sole-charge FP&A seat reporting directly to the CFO of an ASX-listed, global technology business. You'll own month-end business partnering, forecasting and Board/ELT reporting with genuine autonomy - a great next step for someone ready to make FP&A their own as the business scales internationally.

Key responsibilities

• Own budgeting, forecasting and Board/ELT reporting
• Lead month-end reporting with a strong P&L focus

Skills & experience

• Qualified accountant (CA/CPA) with an accounting or FP&A background
• Comfortable being hands-on with month-end in a small, lean team
• Open to first movers into FP&A with strong commercial acumen - e.g. audit - transaction services, or Big4 - industry
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint
• An AI-curious mindset - keen to help embed AI and automation into the finance function to lift efficiency
