Job summary

Expertech is seeking a senior Founding .Net Engineer to join a Governance technology startup building next-generation enterprise software. This greenfield role offers autonomy to shape both technology and product from the ground up, with remote work available on the East Coast of Australia.

You’ll own end-to-end development, build features, design workflows, and integrate with external APIs in a fast-paced environment focused on AI-enabled solutions.

Qualifications

• Extensive commercial experience with .NET and C# development.

Job description

Expertech is currently looking for a senior Founding .Net Engineer to join an exciting Governance technology start-up building next-generation enterprise software that simply couldn't have been built a year ago. This is a genuine greenfield opportunity to become a founding engineer, taking ownership of end-to-end development and helping shape both the technology and the product from the ground up. The business is leveraging modern AI capabilities to rethink how enterprise software is designed and delivered. You'll have significant autonomy, minimal red tape and the opportunity to build substantial functionality rather than simply working through a backlog of predefined tasks. Working remotely, you'll be involved in creating workflows, designing and building features end-to-end, developing integrations with external APIs and turning sometimes-vague requirements into sophisticated, working software. This isn't a role for someone who needs everything mapped out for them. It's for an experienced engineer who enjoys ambiguity, takes ownership and is genuinely excited by the prospect of building something significant.

Essential Skills And Experience

• Extensive commercial experience with .NET and C# development.
• Strong understanding of .NET architecture, software design principles and building scalable enterprise applications.
• Strong experience with React and TypeScript.
• Experience building and integrating REST APIs and working with external systems.
• Experience with AWS and cloud-based application development.
• Ability to take high-level or ambiguous requirements and translate them into well-designed, working solutions.
• Strong full-stack development capability, with the ability to own features end-to-end.
• Experience leveraging AI tools to accelerate development, improve productivity and deliver complex functionality.
• A high degree of autonomy, initiative and accountability.

Desirable skills and experience

• Previous experience in a start-up or greenfield product development environment.
• Experience building enterprise SaaS platforms.
• Exposure to Governance, Risk or Compliance (GRC) technology.
• Experience establishing engineering standards, architecture and development practices.
