Job summary

NTP Talent in Australia seeks a Senior C#/.NET Engineer to own backend services, APIs, and desktop components across multiple application versions.

You will ship 2–3 production releases per day, optimise complex SQL/data models, and rebuild the core Document AI system in close collaboration with the CTO.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software development experience using .NET, C#, and SQL.
• Deep SQL fluency with complex queries and large-scale data architectures.
• Desktop development exposure (WPF, WinForms, or MAUI) is highly regarded.
• Experience in agile/high-velocity CI/CD environments.
• Strong problem-solving mindset toward software architecture and AI-driven automation.

Responsibilities

• Core C# & .NET engineering: design, write, and maintain backend logic, APIs, and desktop features.
• Advanced SQL & data modelling: write complex queries, optimise indexing, and design schemas across 32+ sub-apps.
• Document AI system rebuild: lead ownership of rebuilding and optimising the core system from day one.
• High-velocity deployment: participate in workflows delivering 2–3 production releases per day.
• R&D & feature feasibility: collaborate with CTO in daily engineering huddles to prototype and build new capabilities.
• System refactoring & performance: identify bottlenecks to ensure sub-second responses for complex processing.

You will join a lean, high-velocity Australian software organisation working directly alongside the CTO and Founder to build patented hyper-automation and AI platforms. Shipping 2 to 3 production releases per day across 8 active application versions, you will take full technical ownership from C#.NET backend services and desktop client components to complex database architectures handling millions of records, while jumping straight into rebuilding the core Document AI system.

What you'll be doing:

• Core C# & .NET Engineering: Design, write, and maintain robust backend logic, APIs, and desktop application features in C# and .NET.
• Advanced SQL & Data Modelling: Write complex queries, optimise indexing, tune performance, and design database schemas across 32+ integrated sub-applications.
• Document AI System Rebuild: Take direct ownership of rebuilding and optimising the core Document AI system from day one.
• High-Velocity Deployment: Participate in continuous deployment workflows delivering 2 to 3 production releases daily.
• R&D & Feature Feasibility: Collaborate directly with the CTO and Founder in daily engineering huddles to evaluate, prototype, and build new capabilities.
• System Refactoring & Performance: Identify memory, database access, and application bottlenecks to ensure sub-second response times for complex compliance processing.
• Quality & Standards: Participate in peer code reviews, champion clean code practices, and maintain stability across both R&D and BAU engineering streams.

Experience required:

• Core Stack Proficiency: 5 + years of current, hands‑on software development experience using .NET, C#, and SQL.
• Deep SQL Fluency: Exceptional relational database skills with proven ability to write, debug, and optimise complex queries, execution plans, and large‑scale data architectures.
• Full‑Lifecycle Exposure: Experience across backend APIs, data access layers, and business logic, with desktop development exposure (WPF, WinForms, or MAUI) highly regarded.
• Agile / High‑Velocity Execution: Demonstrated ability to thrive in rapid‑release CI/CD environments with continuous integration practices.
• Problem‑Solving Mindset: Proactive curiosity toward software architecture, system efficiency, and AI‑driven workflow automation.
