MacKillop Family Services is expanding its Foster Care Recruitment program in Queensland, seeking a dedicated practitioner to recruit, train, and assess prospective foster carers across Central Queensland and Sunshine Coast. You’ll guide applicants through the recruitment journey, ensuring trauma-informed care and Sanctuary Model alignment.

Qualifications

• Experience building partnerships with communities, schools, and service networks.
• Ability to deliver training or group workshops.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Engage prospective foster carers through marketing and outreach activities.
• Coordinate and conduct carer preparation training sessions.
• Assess applicants using competency-based tools and present results to authorisation panels.
• Maintain accurate records in carer management systems and ensure data integrity.
• Travel regularly within Central Queensland and surrounding regions.
