Job summary

MacKillop Family Services in Queensland seeks a highly organised Foster Care Recruitment Service Support Officer to provide essential administrative and operational support to the Foster Care Recruitment program across Queensland. You will help with office management, event coordination, reporting, and regional recruitment activities.

The role is based in Maroochydore, QLD, full-time, reporting to the National Leader, Foster care Development.

Qualifications

• Experience in administration, office coordination and operational support.
• Knowledge of Aboriginal culture and trauma-informed practice.
• Experience managing financial processes and reporting with accuracy.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience coordinating events or community activities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database/reporting systems.
• Relevant qualification or equivalent experience in business/admin or community services.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative and operational support to the Foster Care Recruitment program.

We're looking for a highly organised and proactive Foster Care Recruitment Service Support Officer to join our Queensland Foster Care Recruitment team. You will provide essential administrative and operational support to help the program achieve its recruitment objectives. Your responsibilities will include office and administration management, event coordination, reporting on operational performance, and supporting recruitment activities across the region.

This is a Full-Time opportunity based in Maroochydore, QLD. The role sits within the Queensland Foster Care Recruitment Team and reports to the National Leader, Foster care Development.

Key Selection Criteria:

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• A knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal culture and values and an awareness of the current issues faced by Aboriginal children, young people, and their families.
• A knowledge and understanding of the impact of trauma, including issues related to child sexual abuse, domestic violence, and grief/loss.
• Demonstrated experience in administration, office coordination, and operational support.
• Experience managing financial processes, reporting, and administrative systems with a high level of accuracy.
• Well-developed communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience coordinating events, training sessions, or community engagement activities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database/reporting systems.
• A proactive and flexible approach, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A relevant qualification in Business Administration, Community Services, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

You must have a:

• Valid and current Driver’s Licence;
• Satisfactory Criminal History Check (paid for by MacKillop);
• Valid Employee Working with Children Check;
