Job summary

Anglicare Southern Queensland – Gympie QLD invites applications for two Practitioners, Foster & Kinship Care. You will recruit, train, assess and support Foster & Kinship carers to meet the needs of children and young people in OOHC, delivering targeted support across placements.

These are 76 hours per fortnight, based at the Gympie service. Applicants should hold a relevant degree and be prepared to travel within the region, work outside hours when required and complete essential clearances.

Qualifications

• Experience engaging with carers through training, recruitment, and support processes.
• Ability to assess complex situations and craft care strategies.
• Understanding of child protection laws and practices.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, train, assess and support Foster & Kinship carers.
• Provide targeted support across OOHC placements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to develop bespoke therapeutic interventions.
