Perentie Formwork is seeking a Formwork Foreman to lead a on-site team at Brisbane Airport, QLD. This full-time supervisory role oversees formwork operations, ensures safety, quality and on-time delivery, and manages day-to-day site activity with a focus on budget adherence.

You will supervise crews, coordinate installations, conduct safety briefings and liaise with project managers, engineers and trades to resolve issues. Strong leadership, communication and drawing-reading skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Formal qualification as Construction Supervisor or Foreperson, or equivalent industry recognition.
• 5–7 years' formwork supervision experience on construction sites.
• Knowledge of timber, metal and proprietary formwork systems.
• Understanding of construction methodology, sequencing and project management.
• Awareness of building codes, safety regulations and WorkSafe requirements.
• Ability to lead and develop a team, communicate clearly.
• Reading architectural/engineering drawings and specs.

Job description

Perentie Formwork is seeking an experienced Formwork Foreman to join our team on a full-time basis at our Brisbane Airport, QLD 4008 location. In this supervisory role, you will oversee all aspects of formwork operations on site, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time and within budget. As Formwork Foreman, you will be responsible for leading a team of formwork specialists, managing day-to-day site operations and maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety across all formwork installations. This position is integral to the success of our construction projects and plays a vital role in delivering exceptional results for our clients.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and manage formwork teams, ensuring all personnel work safely and efficiently according to project specifications and timelines.
• Plan and coordinate formwork installations, including scheduling, resource allocation and sequencing of work activities.
• Conduct daily toolbox meetings and safety briefings to maintain awareness of site hazards and project requirements.
• Inspect formwork systems to ensure they meet structural requirements, quality standards and compliance with building codes and regulations.
• Liaise with project managers, engineers and other trades to coordinate activities and resolve site issues promptly.
• Monitor and report on project progress, including timekeeping, productivity and budget adherence.
• Maintain accurate site records, including daily logs, material requisitions and incident reports.
• Identify and implement improvements to formwork processes, safety procedures and site efficiency.
• Induct new team members and provide training on formwork techniques, safety protocols and company procedures.
• Ensure proper maintenance of formwork equipment, tools and materials on site.

What we're looking for

• Formal qualification as a Construction Supervisor or Foreperson, or equivalent industry-recognised certification
• Minimum of 5-7 years' experience in formwork supervision on construction sites
• Comprehensive knowledge of formwork systems, including timber, metal and proprietary formwork solutions
• Strong understanding of construction methodology, sequencing and project management principles
• Demonstrated knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, Australian Standards and WorkSafe requirements
• Proven leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively with diverse stakeholders
• Sound problem-solving abilities and the capacity to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in reading architectural and engineering drawings and specifications
• Current First Aid certification and willingness to undertake additional safety training as required
• Full driver's licence and ability to travel to project sites as necessary
• Experience with formwork software or digital site management tools is desirable
