Mondaa Group Pty Ltd is hiring a Formwork Carpenter to join our NSW construction team. You will build, install, and dismantle formwork for concrete pours across varied projects, reading drawings and ensuring precise alignment with specifications.

The role requires a Carpentry qualification (AQF Cert III/IV) and at least 2 years in civil/commercial structures, with safety as a priority and a readiness to work with timber, plywood, steel, and formwork materials.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in Carpentry (AQF Certificate III or IV).
• Two years of civil and commercial structure experience.
• Ability to read and interpret formwork and steel reinforcement drawings.
• Construction White Card and safety knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Build, install, and dismantle formwork for concrete structures to project specs.
• Read and interpret construction drawings and plans.
• Measure, cut, and assemble timber/metal formwork materials.
• Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Ensure all work meets quality, safety, and compliance standards.
• Assist with concrete pours and site preparation as required.
• Make formwork from timber, plywood, plastic, and steel per shop drawings.
• Select and order materials and prepare layouts.

Since its inception in 2017, we have built a reputation for delivering projects with the highest professional standards, ensuring they are completed efficiently and safely. We are expanding rapidly and looking for a skilled and fully qualified Formwork Carpenter to join our team. This is a full-time position with 38-hour basic weeks.

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Formwork Carpenter to join our growing construction team. You will be responsible for building, assembling, and dismantling formwork structures for concrete pours on a variety of projects. Key Duties and Responsibilities

For this role, you will be responsible for:

• Build, install, and dismantle formwork for concrete structures, ensuring precision and alignment to project specifications.
• Reading and interpreting construction drawings and plans
• Measuring, cutting, and assembling timber/metal formwork materials
• Operating hand and power tools safely and effectively
• Ensuring all work meets quality, safety, and compliance standards
• Assisting with concrete pours and site preparation as required
• Making formwork from timber, plywood, plastic, and steel as per shop drawings
• Selecting and ordering materials required and preparing layouts

About You

For this role, you will have:

• Trade qualification in Carpentry or equivalent experience (AQF Certificate III or IV in the relevant field)
• Proven experience in civil and commercial structure construction: 2 years (required)
• Clear understanding of concrete structure construction
• Able to read and interpret both formwork and steel reinforcement drawings
• Construction White Card
• Machinery experience: 2 years (Preferred)
• Safety procedures knowledgePositive, can-do attitude and enjoy working in an inclusive team
• Valid Driving License and transport desirable
