Job summary

Top Deck Group Pty Ltd, a Sydney-based construction company specialising in commercial formwork and structural construction, is seeking experienced Formwork Carpenters to join its team on major projects across Sydney.

This full-time role focuses on strong experience in formwork, concrete structures, and construction site operations, with safety at the forefront to meet project deadlines.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in Carpentry AQF Certificate III including at least two years on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV
• Demonstrated experience in commercial formwork and concrete structure projects
• Ability to read construction drawings and formwork plans
• Experience constructing, installing and dismantling formwork systems for concrete structures
• Ability to work safely at heights and within active construction environments
• Strong understanding of workplace health and safety requirements on construction sites
• Ability to work effectively within a team environment and meet project deadlines

Responsibilities

• Interpret construction drawings, plans and specifications
• Measure, cut, assemble and install timber and formwork materials
• Construct, install and dismantle formwork systems for concrete structures including slabs, walls, columns and beams
• Carry out carpentry and formwork works in accordance with project requirements and safety standards
• Operate hand tools, power tools and construction equipment safely and effectively
• Work with site supervisors and other trades to complete projects within required timeframes
• Maintain a safe and organised work environment in accordance with WHS requirements
