Job summary

ISCM PTY LTD in Sydney NSW is seeking a skilled Formwork Carpenter for a full-time role. You will read drawings, set out and construct formwork for concrete works on civil and infrastructure projects. The position requires AQF Certificate III in Carpentry, at least 2 years formwork experience, a Construction White Card, and strong WHS knowledge.

A valid driver's licence is preferred. Work is on-site with salary of $85,000–$95,000 per annum, with opportunities to contribute to major projects

AQF Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent.
Minimum 2 years of carpentry/formwork experience.
Construction White Card.
Solid WHS knowledge.

Responsibilities

Read and interpret construction drawings, plans and specifications to determine formwork requirements.
Set out, construct, install and dismantle formwork for civil and structural concrete works.
Construct formwork for foundations, bridges, including abutments, headstocks, footings, slabs, walls and columns.
Measure, mark, cut, shape and assemble timber, plywood and other formwork materials to required dimensions.
Install and secure formwork systems, supports, props and bracing in accordance with drawings and project specs.
Work alongside steel fixers and concreters to prepare formwork and reinforced concrete structures for pours.
Strip and dismantle formwork safely after concrete placement.
Inspect completed formwork and rectify defects before concrete placement.
Operate carpentry hand tools and power tools safely; maintain a clean, safe work area.
