Job summary

K&S Freighters is seeking a warehouse operator to support import/export activities at our site. You will load/unload containers and trucks and operate forklifts from 2.5 to 16 tonnes.

You will stock, stage, and move goods for dispatch, and complete all required paperwork. Applicants should have a valid forklift license and at least 12 months of counterbalance forklift experience, with strong English literacy and a safety-first mindset.

The Opportunity:

This role plays an important role in the import and export activities of the site, using a variety of counterbalance forklifts from 2.5 to 16 tonnes.

You will be loading and unloading trucks and shipping containers and handling a variety of ugly freight sizes including timber lengths and aluminium coils.

You will:

• Load and unload shipping containers and trucks for import and export
• Operate a variety of counterbalance forklifts ranging from 2.5 to 16 tonnes
• Put stock away, stage for despatch and move goods around warehouse as needed
• Complete all relevant paperwork required for goods receipt and despatch
• Participate in stocktakes or other ad hoc duties as required

You will have:

• Valid forklift license and minimum 12 months of experience operating a counterbalance forklift
• Strong English communication and literacy levels
• Confidence with loading and unloading containers and trucks with the ability to support load restraints
• A responsible, reliable approach to your working day and a positive attitude towards those in your team
• A strong commitment to safety regulations, ensuring the yard and warehouse safety standards are adhered to
